JL Audio of Florida says you HAVE to buy subwoofers in pairs. After you give great subs like the E-110s a listen, you’ll appreciate that… they’re right!

One sub in your room, for music, can be “located.” As much as we talk that subs aren’t directional and you can’t tell where they are… if you have an elite system, you’ll want a pair.

If you have a pair of JL subs they bathe the room in bass. You can’t locate where one is. You not only get more dynamics and impact with a pair, but each sub won’t have to work as hard. When you ask less of a sub, it’s coasting not thumping. It can deliver the foundation and weight of live music more accurately and impressively than even large towers.

E-110 is available in black ash for $1650 ea. Gloss black runs $1850 each.

e110- Ash

The drivers used in all JL subs, eclipse what anybody else makes. If you compare the 10” driver of E-110 to what goes in any tower- you’ll know instantly why JL leaves the other guys in the dust. JL makes its own drivers in Fla. The drivers are not only massive, but the front baffle and rear loading platform are endemic to their design and performance.

If you inspect a 12-16” driver from anyone else, sorry guys, it’s a tinker toy compared to what JL makes. Please don’t be misled by the diameter of a sub. What we really need to pay attention to is the entire sub’s construction, which includes the Gibraltarish cast frame, magnet and mounting system. Buy JL- accept no substitute.

Most importantly, the E-110, like its bigger brother the E-112, is a PHENOMENAL subwoofer. It not only hits hard, which you would expect, but its crossover is fast and clean. You’ll be amazed how they don’t bring attention to themselves. JL’s quality allows you to run E-110 with “any” right/left wing speakers. It means even if you’re a fussy Maggie owner (I am) you’re finally going to find subwoofers you’ll love.

A pair of E-110s in ash runs $3300. While that isn’t chump change- it’s not so crazy these days. Please keep in perspective, your wing speakers don’t have to be monoliths if you start with E-110s. If you listen at ferocious volume levels, sure, your wings should be butt kickers. But if you don’t listen at “club levels” you’ll be delighted with wings like Wharfedale Denton 85s or Lintons, which run in the neighborhood of a grand a pair. If you buy speakers for under $5k with state of the art bass,
that’s not insane.

We invite you to hear JL Audio subs IN PAIRS, as they’re intended to be heard. We have several of their packages set up and ready to prove, that no matter what you have for right and lefts, dovetailing in a pair of JL subs makes sense.

Or better yet, as you are planning your speaker upgrade, start with a pair of JL Audio subs. They’re so good and solid, that we want them to do the bass work. Your wing speakers don’t have to be titans.
